Greetings! Thank you for viewing my studio for your creative needs. Commissioning a custom piece of artwork is a simple and intriguing process. With every piece of artwork, I strive to create a unique and timeless experience that is enjoyable for all involved. I prefer to work from my own digital images and when necessary from live settings or photos provided by clients.
The first meeting with my client involves a discussion of the overall feeling of the portrait, how best to convey the subject and considerations of setting, size, lighting, and style. Meetings may be conducted over the phone, or in person locally. To get started, please fill out this commission form.
Once you hire my services, you will be asked to provide 1/3 to 1/2 down payment in order to secure space on my calendar. The remaining payments may be billed in scheduled invoices or paid in full when the artwork is completed.
Good imagery is the key to creating a quality piece of artwork if a painting or drawing, or understanding my client’s needs if a ceramic piece. Photos used as source material for artwork must be good resolution, that allow me to see details and color clearly. I can work from images provided by the client or, if you are local, we may schedule a sitting where I will take photographs for source material.
Shortly after we agree on the project details, I will create a preliminary sketch of your project. This sketch will be an example of color, lighting and composition for the final project.
Completion and Payment
Once the artwork is completed, I will send a photograph to the client, before shipping. Local clients may pick up work from my studio or I will deliver up to 50 miles. Artwork must be paid in full prior to pick up or delivery.
